Really happy to find these. Did not want to discard nice older floor lamp that has been at the cabin for decades, but it had a screw on upside down shade. This fitting screws on and allows almost any floor lamp shade to rest on the top. Of course, check dimensions, the diameter is critical for the fitting, the shade connection can be a little larger as it sets on a wider rim of this socket.
