For the price, you can not go wrong...These are very nice, especially for the price. You can add/remove the plastic anvils to either side of the rail, allowing for extra sockets to fit each one (if you can find the plastic anvils without wasting money to buy more rails). They're pretty well made, hold 1/4 and 3/8 sockets fairly well. That said, these things are not really built for larger sockets. It's extremely easy to break the anvils when using these with larger sockets, especially the larger sizes of 1/2" drive sockets. Being so heavy individually, they'll work well if you don't intend to remove the rail from a tool box and leave the sockets standing on end.. Otherwise, you'll end up breaking the anvils.Pros:Holds a lot of sockets, if you can find more anvilsFairly heavy plastic construction, not easy to breakGood value for the costCons:Definitely breakable, if using with large socketsNo matter the scheme, it seemed there was no way to effectively deal with all the sockets in my tool boxes. Utter chaos as the headline implies; finding the socket I need at any given time was a waste of valuable effort as the sockets I want was always hidden. Not any more, as I have dealt a death-blow to the constant search for a 1/2" six point or the 3/8" shallow 1/4" socket. These socket holders are fantastic in that they are so easy to load and unload, yet the sockets are very secure - I dropped one of the loaded rails and not one socket came loose. I turned them upside down and the same thing, the sockets stayed where they were supposed to.At about 15" in length, the rails were too long for my new tool roll's pockets and needed trimming. No problem as I measured what needed to be loped-off and using a hand saw quickly made the cuts. Now the loaded rails fit in their pockets on the tool roll with ease and I have no more issue with the wasting of time looking for the socket I need now. Truly this will end one of my frustrations when wrenching and I highly recommend these rails to those who also struggle with finding their sockets in a timely manner. I'll be buying another set for the sockets in my SAE tool box.I bought these to throw into an 18" tool bag. I've had a few weeks and have used them at least a couple of times a week. With all of them together some of sockets are flopping around in there and one of the 3/8 holders snapped off. A few of the sockets are really hard to get off forcing me to use a screwdriver. I'm afraid of breaking it when I do but haven't yet. And likewise, a couple are easy so I always have a socket or two in the bottom of the bag. Not bad really, a lot better organization than nothing. I like that all my metrics and SAE are together in one place for travel, just grab the bag and go.This is nice for smaller/medium sockets but once you get to deep sockets or larger short sockets they become too heavy and the plastic clip breaks. There fine if the sockets are stationary and not moving inside a tool box. There are several manufactures of the product including Craftsman, Lowes, etc. However, the price of this product is less than half of their cost and works as well as the higher cost items. Since I have just received this item and haven't have time to assess its durability, I can't give it a real assessment and thus went halfway with the stars. I like the ability to add more clips or replace broken clips as these clips are made of plastic and over time plastic gets brittle and breaks. These little guys were cheap - probably their strongest selling point! I started organizing my sockets on them, and broke several just from pushing the sockets on to them! Recently bought some holders with aluminum rails, and they're so much better! Spend a little more and get reliable!Note: I've put my good sockets on Olsa or ABN (interchangeable) rails, and the cheap Taiwan sockets on these; might as well use them for something, and the ones that didn't break work okay...Nice socket holders but the individual plastic socket retainers break even from light usage.
