Awesome product. I used it on my sump for my micro algae and it works greatSo, when they work, they work very well. The problem is, I’ve had 2 of them die (they just start flickering, then eventually barely glow) within 1 week of use…. They’re cheap and effective if they work. However, quality control is clearly an issue.Bulb worked well for my aquarium showing good growth for my cheto but bulb only lasted 4 months.Great for growing macroalgae in a refugium. It’s nice that it is waterproof - paired with a waterproof socket, it’s very convenient and forgiving. The light generates a lot of heat. That may or may not work for you. I just keep my heater unplugged.Got this product recently and it works really well. Its helps my plants to grow faster and saves me money with my electricity bill. I highly recommended this itemWhat a great light bulb. It grows chaeto algae like crazyWouldn’t recommend using for a refuguim. In less then a month, my Chaetomorpha is in bad shape. I had I regular 75 watt light on it. Didn’t do bad, didn’t do good. Changed to a much brighter led, but all white started growing nicely. I came across this light. It mentions a few time that it’s good for refuguims. Not for mine.The light is well built. Didn’t radiate much heat. Just not for me and my situation.Doesn't get any easier than just screwing the light into a socket and having it work. The light shipped very fast and just in time to grow my decorative macro algae. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.I am using this light in my sump suspended about 5’’ above the water and a few weeks ago I added a ball of chaeto about 6 inches in diameter. The ball has since doubled in size and has reduced my nitrate to near 0.I have read other reviews stating that this light doesn’t work, but you won’t grow chaeto with just light you need nutrients as well (nitrate, phosphate).This light works for me and I do recommend it to those who are looking for a good refugium light.I use it for a refugium.not super bright and the housing gets VERY hot.
